Condensation Treatment
Condensation and damp problems occur where moist damp air comes into contact with cooler air, or a surface, which is at a lower temperature. It is therefore important to choose a supplier familiar with condensation problems who is qualified as a condensation specialist.
Air contains water vapour in varying quantities; its capacity to do so is related to its temperature - warm air holds more moisture than cold air. When moist air comes into contact with either colder air or a colder surface, the air is unable to retain the same amount of moisture and the water is released to form condensation in the air or on the surface which if left can lead to condensation damp problems. Specialist condensation treatment will be required to inhibit this.
Condensation is generally noticeable where it forms on non-absorbent surfaces, i.e. windows or tiles, but it can form on any surface and it may not be noticed until mould growth or rotting of material occurs. This is also normally coupled with a strong musty smell. Specialist condensation treatment will be required to finish it off.
It is unlikely that a home in the UK will ever be condensation free, however by keeping your property well maintained you should be able to live with a certain amount of condensation. Condensation treatment involves identification of the problem and eradication through chemical spray and other condensation treatments carried out be the team at Wise Property Care.
